During my early tenure as safety director for a motor carrier who also operated as a freight broker and over-the-road domestic freight forwarder, one of our drivers struck a pedestrian, resulting in permanent injuries.
While successfully settling the claim within policy limits, meeting the injured party—a husband, father, and passionate family man—forever changed my perspective.

In addition to serving in the U.S. Army as a Medical Supply Chain Management Specialist, Drew Singleton Wilder holds a Master of Jurisprudence from the University of Washington School of Law, a Bachelor of Science in Law, Politics, & Economy from the University of Washington, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate of Applied Science in Freight Logistics Management from Green River College.
Having advanced from dock operations to Director of Risk Management—and ultimately to founder and CEO of Vicarious Liability Risk Mgt & Compliance—Drew brings a distinguished track record of professionalism and subject matter expertise in the freight and supply chain management industry.
In 2003, after eighteen years in the freight industry, Drew founded Vicarious Liability Risk Mgt. and Compliance (VLRMC) with a singular mission: to provide shippers and freight brokers with expert support across six core areas — 1) standard operating procedures, 2) carrier onboarding, 3) insurance vetting and compliance, 4) AI governance, 5) cargo claims assistance, and 6) physical damage claims assistance.
In 2018, Drew was selected to serve as co-chair of the Department of Licensing’s Autonomous Vehicle Sub-committee, helping assess complex challenges and deliver recommendations to the Executive Committee Workgroup. He also served as a voting member on the liability committee.
